The Meat Rack Series by Sam Zalutsky is a fine art photo series shot on color infrared film, which explores the deep sense of wonder and desire found in the Meat Rack, a small forest on Fire Island. Located between two Fire Island LGBTQ communities, Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines, men have sought connection here through public sex since at least the 1950s.
