Sam Zalutsky is an award-winning New York City photographer and filmmaker.

Recently Sam was awarded honorable mention for Meat Rack series photos #3 and #8 in the SoHo Photo National Competition, curated by Kris Graves. He also participated in MANA Contemporary’s Online Artfair with the series this summer. Earlier this year, “Katherine I,” was selected for the Photographic Center Northwest’s Distinction show, also curated by Kris Graves, and “Nutty with Ghost Self,” was part of “the imperfect lens,” at the A Smith gallery (Johnson City, TX), curated by Michael Kirchoff; both are pinhole camera images in Sam’s Ghost Self Portrait series.

In 2019, Sam participated in Review Santa Fe with the Meat Rack and Ghost Self Portrait series. “Meat Rack 8” appeared in the Center for Fine Art Photography’s 2018 Center Forward show, curated by Hamidah Glasgow and Kris Graves.

As a filmmaker, Sam’s new feature, SEASIDE, a revenge thriller with a queer twist, is available on Amazon, VUDU, Google Play, and other streaming platforms. Ariana DeBose (Anita, Steven Spielberg’s West SideStory; Alyssa, Ryan Murphy’s The Prom; original Hamilton cast) stars as Daphne.
